The main focus of our group is to study biological systems using an interdisciplinary approach, bringing together engineering, physics, chemistry and biology.
We use a wide variety of computational tools in order to unveil the inner working of proteins and their interactions. We aim to understand the molecular mechanisms that are behind diseases like cancer, severe muscle disorders, viral infections, and others.
Our laboratory trains researchers for careers at the interface of biomedical and engineering sciences. The Multiscale Modeling and Simulation Group is part of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería in Lima, Peru.
